ATC maintains arrest warrants of Imran, Qadri

ISLAMABAD, (Pakistan Point News - APP - 21st Oct, 2016 ) : An-Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday directed the police to produce PTI Chief Imran Khan and PAT head Dr. Tahir ul Qadri before court on November 17, in Parliament and ptv buildings attack case.

ATC Judge Syed Kausar Abbas Zaidi heard the case regarding the damage to state property during protests and sit-in of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) in 2014. During the proceeding, the court ordered to maintain arrest-warrants of Imran Khan, Dr.

Tahir ul Qadri and other 70 nominated accused in Parliament and PTV attack case. It granted exemption to the six accused who appeared before the court. The court expressed displeasure for not producing the accused and directed the police produce the accused on next date of hearing November 17, after arresting them.

It may be mentioned here that secretariat police had registered a case in 2014 against PTI and PAT leaders for damaging public property during protests. APP/wsj/mub
