Aown Chaudhry, Sh Rasheed missing in Imran Khan’s oath-taking ceremony
The oath-taking ceremony was held in President House, Islamabad
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 18th August, 2018) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan officially took oath as the 22nd prime minister of Pakistan today.
The oath-taking ceremony was held in President House, Islamabad on Saturday. President Mamnoon Hussain administered oath to the newly elected prime minister.
While Imran Khan’s friends and former cricketers were present in the ceremony, his close aide Aown Chaudhry was missing in the ceremony.
According to media reports, Imran Khan is at odds with Aown Chaudhry over party matters. Imran Khan has directed him to keep a distance from party matters and Prime Minister House.
Aown Chaudhry and Zulfi Bukhari are among the close friends of Imran Khan. They are present at almost every personal meeting or party arranged by Imran Khan. However, Aown Chaudhry could not be seen in his oath-taking ceremony today.
On the other hand, PTI’s ally and Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rasheed also could not be seen in the ceremony.
Media reports said that he arrived late to the ceremony.
Sheikh Rasheed is having differences with Imran Khan over Interior Ministry which the prime minister intends to keep to himself.
