Sanctions against Myanmar would be lifted soon, said US President Barack

Washington DC, (Pakistan Point News - 15th Sep, 2016) : President Obama met with State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi, Burma's de facto leader, in the Oval Office in their first White House meeting since she became leader.

US President Barack Obama said while talking to Myanmar's leader that long-standing trade sanctions against Myanmar would be lifted soon.

President Obama said that the Myanmar should now be allowed to benefit from preferential tariffs as it emerges from decades of military rule.
