Matters Discussed To Start Khaadim E Punjab Hockey Talent Programme

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Feb, 2017 ) - Important matters relating to start the Khaadim e Punjab hockey talent programme were discussed here on Wednesday at hockey committee meeting at Sports board Punjab.
Former President, Pakistan Hockey Federation, Akhtar Rasool presided over the meeting which discussed matters of registration of the teams and players belonging to as many as 36 divisions of Punjab.
Also present on the occasion, former secretary ,PHF Brig (r) Musarrat ullah former hockey Olympians, Shehnaz Sheikh and Danish Kaleem, and female hockey umpire Beenish Hayat. Akkhtar Rasool has said Khaadim e Punjab talent hunt programme being organised at Tehsil, District, Division and provincial level will help in spotting new hockey talent .
Prior to this meeting, a meeting of the steering committee sports Punjab was held under chairmanship of Hanif Abbasi which reviewed the pace of work of under construction sports projects throughout the province.
Hanif Abbasi expressed his satisfaction over the pace of work and directed the concerned quarters to ensure the timely completion of these projects. "Under the banner of SBP we are taking measures for the development of sports infrastructure besides organizing activities for the promotion of the games at grass root level", he added.
