KE Collaborates With KHA To Promote U-14 & U-16 League In Karachi

KARACHI, Jan 3 (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Jan, 2017 ) : K-Electric has collaborated with the Karachi Hockey Association (KCA) for the Under-14 and Under-16 Youth Hockey League. An official of the utility said on Tuesday that K-Electric recently concluded the Under-16 Women's Boxing Tournament in Karachi in order to revive and promote the Sport of Boxing especially in young women representing different areas of the city, some of them under-privileged.
The Youth Hockey League had eight teams participating in it, all named after famous Olympians that have represented the Green Shirts in field Hockey.
K-Electric Spokesperson said that the utility is committed to the nurture and develop our youth and there is no better platform than sports.
'We hope this collaboration will contribute to the revival of Hockey in our country and attract youth to this remarkable sport', he added. He said that as part of its vision KE has created different platforms to engage the youth in Sports.
The utility has kept its focus on reviving the Sport of Boxing and now Field Hockey also discovering outstanding talent in football and cricket, many of whom now playing at national and international levels.
