FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jan, 2017 ) : Incentive package of Rs 180 billion for the exporters will not only strengthen industrial sector on sound footings but also give a quantum jump to national exports with a special focus on textile exports.
This was stated by Mian Muhammad Idrees, former president Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) on Wednesday. Commenting on the package, he said the abolition of sales tax and custom duty on import of textile machinery was a positive step for the textile sector.
He said though this textile package would also give relief to leather, sports and surgical sectors, yet the main beneficiary of it would be the textile sector which was the major sector earning foreign exchange for national economy.
He said the relief package had given a very effective procedure for systematic payment of rebate and this would definitely help increase exports to various international markets. Mian Muhammad Idrees thanked Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and said the textile sector was now in a position to overcome hurdles in its exports.
