Dhaga Orders LESCO To Ensure 100pc Mobile Meter Reading

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jan, 2017 ) : Secretary, Ministry for Water and Power, Younis Dhaga on Tuesday directed the big-wings in Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) for expediting their efforts to ensure mobile meter reading up to 100 percent.
Chairing a high-level meeting here at LESCO Headquarters, the Secretary also stressed the need for greater focus on the matters pertaining to further improvements in the company's power distribution system, which included up-gradation of grid stations, transmission lines and feeders being maintained by LESCO so as to enhance its overall power supply mechanism.
During the meeting, Younis Dhaga was briefed about the performance and various initiatives of the company by the officers concerned. The secretary appreciated the measures taken by LESCO to improve safety of its field staff.
He also expressed satisfaction over the Company's initiatives for reducing line losses and improving the bills/dues recovery programme. LESCO Chief Executive Officer Syed Wajid Ali Kazmi and other senior officers attended the review meeting.
