5 Injured In Quetta Police Training Center Terrorist Attack

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -24th oct,2016) : At least five police recruits had been injured in firing by unknown armed men who attacked Police Training Center, Quetta, and entered the center, late Monday night, Home Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti confirmed.
The Home Minister said at least five to six terrorists entered into police line and opened indiscriminate fire at hostel of police recruits. "Five police recruits suffered injuries in the attack who have been shifted to Sandeman Civil Hospital," he said.
"We are fighting a war on terror and our focus is to end terrorists," he said, adding rescue operation was underway in the affected area. According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pak Army had taken control of the security operation.
The officials said the commandos of Pak Army, Police, Frontier Corps and Anti-Terrorists Force had been participating in security operation against the terrorists at the police training center.
The police sources said unknown armed men entered police training center and opened indiscriminate firing.
"Unknown armed men have entered police training center Quetta and they have been opening indiscriminate firing." They said the armed attackers had entered into the hostel of police recruits and had taken them on gunpoint.
Over 200 recruits were present at the hostel getting professional training. The Police Training Center was located around 13 kilometers from the main city of Quetta. The law enforcement agencies had rushed to the scene and cordoned off the police training center.
Firing between law enforcement personnel and the terrorists was underway till filing of this news story. Emergency had been declared at hospitals and doctors and paramedic had been called in. Three bomb blasts had also been heard in the area.
